Coming Up With a Goal for Your Blog
Happy New Year! Finally it's 2007. This is a good time to reflect, to make some new years resolutions, make some changes and set new goals. So I ask myself, what is the goal of my blog for 2007?
Is my goal to turn this blog into money making machine? No, that's my blog's theme not my goal. Goal has to be very specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time-bounded. So, what are my blog's goals? My goals are for this blog to have 400 new post, to enjoy half million visitors and to earn some $2,000 before the year end. I know others may find my goal a little high or low, but I believe this is just fair enough for my time, skills, attention and to it's first year of operation.
You too, should lay down your blog's goal. Without goals you maybe are just wasting time, effort and resources. It may not be necessary to post your goal in your blog but I think posting once goal is not a bad idea.
So, if you don't have yet a goal for your blog this 2007, there is a good post made by Steve Pavlina entitled "Setting Your Primary Focus". You have to define your primary focus as this will help you define your blog's goals. He said, to define your area of primary focus, need to ask yourself this question: If I were to focus on improving one area of my life (or blog) this year, what single area would have the greatest overall impact?
Your primary focus will be the one that will bring you the greatest overall impact. Good luck, I hope you will come up with a goal for your blog.

Thank you for this! I have been planning to expand one of my sites - www.naturallywahms.com - and haven't been sure exactly what I was going to do (and what I am going to call it). I realize what I need is to figure out what my goals with it are. This is a great help!
